My questions are about ideal recording for this setup.Everything is pushed towards the middle, so you see something with reduced dynamic range, but you also see a lot more detail in the dark areas. Just look at the nonlit areas in the first image, you can’t see anything in there. Ubiquiti cameras generally have low quality, smaller image sensors than comparable cameras.
Ubiquiti has a higher failure rate than other business hardware. The warranty is only a year and it isn't next business day. Wifi and routing is cheaper than other companies, but I feel like switching is about the same price without the warranty. Correction UniFi FlexHD. 2.So thats the reasons I've commonly seen for using unifi. For a lot of old houses, without ethernet runs, its expensive to get ethernet runs around the house. For APs or anything. In that instance, it makes a lot of sense to go with a mesh network. And I think it bears mentioning, that ubiquiti APs are mesh compatible.First - Ubiquiti doesn't offer any 2.5GB class devices in their Unifi line. Either 10GbE/10Gb SFP+ or 1GbE. Also something to keep in mind, Cat6 is generally good for 10GbE up to a 180ft run. Now - if you were to connect to said 10GbE infrastructure using a 2.5GbE NIC you would get 2.5GbE - even past the 180ft mark.The number of Wifi devices is about 19 although there are more than that when other family members are home. What I've generally found is that most devices have a better signal-to-noise ratio of about 5 dBs with the U7 Pro versus the U6-E. In some cases like devices that are close to the AP, the improvement was pretty dramatic.USG and CKG2+ were rackable (USG with third-party rack mount kit, CKG2/2+ with original Ubiquiti kit). This thing is not, and it has wifi too, which is not a good thing to have inside a metal rack.
